Everyone knows the Gladys Knight version of Midnight Train to Georgia. Thought I'd post this version instead:

Yes, extremely sad; one of my Bonnie's favorites. But then as time grows shorter losing people hits harder. I lost a brother Wolfman Jack..think of him often. Sean Connery was the only James Bond in my opinion..and life goes on huh?

Just finished watching "Echo In The Canyon" for about the 6th time. Anyone who was weaned on music of the 60s will likely enjoy seeing this - a documentary by Jacob Dylan on the Laurel Canyon scene and the musicians/music that were created there, and some of the backstories. They also released a cover album of the music performed by Jakob and others. It's a good sampling of interviews and video of some of the musicians from Laurel Canyon, but not all by any means. If you want to nostalge this is a good one. Netflix, and also available on Amazon Prime.

I sure was sorry to hear this. I have quite a few albums with him but I couldn’t begin to afford one of everything he did. What a catalogue. I have the Blu-ray, Return to Forever: Returns - Live at Montreux. Going to have to dig it out and watch in remembrance. Sure does bring back some memories. Rest In Peace

Saw Return to Forever in concert when I was in high school. One of the best concerts I've seen. Very sad news :(

I remember listening to Return to Forever and thinking how can they all play individually yet still sound like music. Cool stuff

Brings back memories. As the teeniebopper jock at KEEL Shreveport and Music Director I was given the Beatles first record a few days early. I was doing a Saturday night record hop. Well, I played the record for the kids asking them what they thought....eh, ah, uh, "Not so hot." Monday it hit with a BANG! That's History, and don'cha' just love it?

Yes it was Chuck. I have tickets to see him and the remaining Smithereens playing backup in May, but I'll have to see how the Covid is doing around here then before I decide if I'm going.
