4k vs HD - A different perspective on 4K cameras

Interesting perspective. I like the results of shooting in 4k so something to think about.

I'm kind of relieved to finally not feel the need to rush out and upgrade.

Upgrade? I am still using my tape based Sony HVR-A1E!! I will eventually upgrade when all of the tapes that I bulk bought have been used up. :)

The only downside to still using that camera is the capture process from tape via firewire. Other than that minor drawback it continues to serve my needs.

John I had the Sony Sony HDR-HC1 camera and loved it. It was my first HD camera. I stopped when I ran out of DV tapes and did not want to buy more since camcorders with SD cards were coming out.
