3 axis gimbal for camcorder

Postby sidd finch » Thu Aug 15, 2019 10:38 am

With all the attention on smartphone and GoPro gimbals I came across the new Zhiyun Crane V2 that can be used for bigger cameras like camcorders. It is a bit expensive but really does a good job stabilizing the camera.

Looks like about $550. Which is more than I paid for my last two HD camcorders combined! But there's no arguing with the beautiful results.

Pretty impressive gimbal to hold the heavy Nikon. I looked into gimbals a few years ago and almost bought one. I have one for the GoPro, but too hard to use when a slight wind.

It seems like gimbals have really come a long way. But I wonder how heavy the gimbal plus the camera ends up being?
