Storytelling Steve

Postby Steve Grisetti » Thu Aug 09, 2018 8:21 am

Because I enjoy sharing everything with my family here at Muvipix, I thought I'd share this.

I'm entering a storytelling contest. This is my audition tape.

Yes, I know it's technically sloppy. But this one is more about content.

Anyway, enjoy.

That was pretty funny Steve. Thank you for sharing. I was almost expecting the end to fade to black then come back with an epilogue......

....so then I got in the car drove to the local hardware store and had all the keys to the house changed. Now the crawl space is empty and I have yet to see a stain on any of the carpets..... lol

Well done.

Funny! I loved the little drop in your face at the end in the split second before the cut to black. Perfect comedic timing. :TU:

Our house is a little different to yours. It is also an old house but it has NO storage space whatosever.

But I can very definitely identify with the first twenty seconds of your story!! :(

Unfortunately, that use of storage space is the method of spring cleaning I usually deploy. ;)

In our house I had the idea of..."lets just take a picture of it for the memory" so we can get rid of it..... wrong thing to say I was almost hit with a broom... :ha:

Steve, excellent delivery. You're a star.
I certainly can relate to having too much stuff -- no matter how much storage space there is. Lately, I've been filling up the back seat, front seat, and trunk of my car with the overflow.

Great audition tape Steve! You are a master storyteller and have a narrator's voice so you should win hands down. Loved the stories too. No koolaid for my grands. They only get non-stain looking stuff like white grape juice or apple juice. Helps that we have brown carpet.

Great job Steve!! You have such an easygoing way with words. Good luck in the contest - I'm sure you will be a winner!

Uh-oh...Does this mean that when you hit the big time you won't be available to do voiceover work anymore? :( At least I can say, "I knew him when..."

For those following this story -- I made it past the first round of judges! Which puts me among the second round of semi-finalists.

I don't know for sure what that means. And I'd still be surprised if this led to anything. But when you play any game, it's nice to at least get a pat on the back.

I'll keep you apprised.
