Used DP Animation Maker

Postby RJ Johnston » Thu Aug 09, 2018 3:59 pm

I took the sample image, zangle_island.jpg, from the Pictures\Nature Photos folder in Windows 10 and applied a few effects to it using DP Animation Maker. I get mesmerized watching this stuff. It is loads of fun.

That looked pretty cool. Is that a still image that you animate?

Some would say that that is not an animation but just a video of waves.

The source is a still image, 800x600, that came from one of the sample jpegs supplied with Windows 10 in the Pictures folder. You apply different filters to the still image and paint over the areas you want affected. The still comes to life as you "paint" over it. There are no cells or frames.

Sometimes what you "animate" and view close up on the computer monitor doesn't show up so well on big screen from 10 feet; you have to exaggerate movements. There are two great-white sharks that show up barely visible in the waves.

For $38 I'm getting my funs worth.
