Scanner app

Postby GerryB » Tue Jul 31, 2018 10:02 am

Good day to you all.

I saw this app featured on bbc.com/click recently and I thought I would give it a try....umm!!
Qlone.pro -- https://www.qlone.pro

My shaky hand did not help!
And the A4 grid sheet was too small for what I really wanted to scan.

So,
- I'm thinking up ways to hold iPhone steady!!
- have the grid sheet to turn at a slow controlled rate.

Would a remote control for a selfie stick help??

Then I have to find somewhere to print an A3 or A2 sheet for what I really want to scan.
Local print shops charge to 'open' pdf files, sometimes I think we are still living in the dark ages.

Any/all feedback welcome.

I'll have to give that a try. I've already printed the mat on a 8-1/2 x 11 Letter. I wonder how you get an enormous grid printed, like they show on the website.
If you had the iPhone on a tripod, you could use a cake turntable to rotate smaller objects. Wilton Trim-N-Turn Ultra Cake Decorating Turntable - Cake Decorating Stand

There are plenty of selfie sticks with remotes to pick from. I bought something like this: Accmore Selfie Stick with Remote

I use this mount attached to my tripods:
Accmor Universal Tripod Mount Adapter for Smart Phones 2.3 - 3.3" Wide, - Holder Clip Attachment Clamp
Dell XPS 8940 Intel 8-core 10th gen.-i7 10700K (3.8-5.1 GHz); 32GB DDR4 2933 MHz RAM; 512 GB SSD; 2 TB 7200 HD; BDRE-drive; NVIDIA(R) Geforce(R) RTX 2060 SUPER(TM) 8G8 GDDR6
