Hands on with a Karma in the wild.

Ok so this guy is a bit interesting and the real action starts at about 3 minutes in, but it is a cool "non-professional" look at the quad in action.

That's some pretty impressive engineering. The gimble seems to work very well. He sure wasn't babying anything, so if it performed like that under those circumstance it has a lot going for it. What a nice little package it makes for carrying, too. That guy's a bit of a personality, huh?

He is an odd duck but he got 3.5 times more video plays than GoPro's own Karma video so he must be doing something right.

I did like that it looks like an actual test drive and I agree the quad copter looks pretty cool. Especially the gimbals multi purpose that is pretty inventive. While a bit on the steep side I think that what you get for $800 is reasonable.

Some very nice stuff at around 9:00.

But like you guys, I'm so terrified of losing my $50 drone that I won't even fly it near trees or traffic. I can't imagine sending a $1000 Karma out over the Hudson!

A good friend of mine dumped his drone in the Pacific Ocean during this shoot. Some pretty cool stuff, love his work. He does a lot of Lifestyle type videos for various companies and churches.

As soon as he said... I have never flown this or looked at the instructions and it took 3 tries to get it to lift off...... I thought for sure it was going for a water landing. But the footage of it rising up looking at the cityscape was especially cool. Gosh darn it... I want one..... lol :ha:

Wow, what a character! What a new GoPro/drone! Very clever the gimbal can be used separately. I think GoPro raised their game this go round.
