About a week ago I completed a project burned it to a folder and used IMGBurn to make a DVD. 2 days ago I crerated a new project with photos abd video clips added a DVD menu. The project showed 19 minutes on the time line and Publish/Create menu said project had 1.37 gigabytes. When I attempted to burn to folder it seemed to work but folder was empty. I tried burning to a DVD. After 98% complete got the following error message: "internal software error\\vobulator\block planner\block planner.cpp.line215" I erased PRE12 and reinstalled but still cannot burn to disc or folder. I purchased software from Amazon on 2-8-14. Any thoughts. Up till today I have not had any problems with PRE12.

Is it safe to assume you've resized all the photos in your slideshow to no larger than 1000x750? Oversized photos can often choke the program's transcoding.
If so, try doing a Save As and saving your project under a different name in new, empty folder. This will trick the program into creating all new render and work files, just in case your previous burn attempts somehow corrupted things.

Hi Steve, I am still trying to burn DVD to folder. I uninstalled and reinstalled PRE 12. When I tried to load two projects I had previously made with Disc menus, the program indicated project had no DVD menu. When I gave permission to load without a DVD menu, project loaded but without any menu. I have deleted the project I was working on and will start over to insure that I did everything correctly. A week ago everything work ok. I had HP clean my computer. Since then PRE 12 has this problem. I also had to call Seagate because I could not access my backup program. Where does the software remember that I put DVD menus in my projects? I will check back after I try a few more projects to see if all the Disc menus are lost. Thanks Ken

Hi Steve, I deleted the project that I could not burn. I then recreated the project and burned it to a folder. The weird problems are two. When I retrieve projects all the dvd menus are gone. Also, the photos and videos are not connected. There is a red box that says media is off line. How can that happen and how can I reconnect the projects with the media? Something must be corrupted in the linkage between PRE12 projects and the media.
Hopeful for any insight.
Thanks Ken

Have you tried doing a Save As and saving your DVD Architect project file to a new location, as I recommended above?
As for all of your broken links -- that won't happen if you do a Save As. So, in your effort to delete the project and recreate it, you may also have deleted some key elements, including possibly some media.
Can you post a screen capture of your Project Overview panel with all of its broken links to this forum so we can have a look?

If you are using Windows 7 or up, you can use the built-in snipping tool. It's under Start>All Programs>Accessories (or type the name in the search box). Once you start the snipping tool, drag the cursor to select the area you want to capture. Then save the captured image as a jpg.

Steve, I have a jpeg of my PRE12 Project screen. How do I add it to a post? Also when I bring a project in to PRE12, a popup window appears. It says "Where is file 'K&M Videos 4-10-14-001-1.mov?' I can find that file in the folder that contains the video clips for the project. When I click on 'select file', nothing happens.

Hi, Ken. If you open the Full Editor when you post your next response, you'll see a button along the bottom of the panel for adding an attachment.
I'm looking forward to seeing your screen shot.
If I can't see the issue there, contact me directly at "steve" at this web site if you'd like to set up a Skype session in which you share your screen and we walk through your problems together.
