PE13?

Specific to Premiere Elements version 13

PE13?

Postby don731 » Sat Sep 06, 2014 9:46 am

Couple of questions about the upcoming PE13:

Any sense of what an upgrade price might be for PE12 users?

Will PE13 likely work with the new Mac OSX Yosemite?

Will Steve publish a new guide to PE13 :-D

Cheers,
Don

In any case, we'll know shortly. The past four releases have been at the end of September.

And of course IF there is a new release, Steve will most definitely publish a new guide! ;)

Here's what they're touting as the major new features:

Two easy moviemaking options:
Video Story — Just pick a Story Theme, grab some clips for each Chapter, and get a full-on production.
Favorite Moments — Choose favorite moments from a clip and get a quick movie in return.

New Guided Edits make it easy to add motion inside your movie titles and add effects that draw eyes to one part of your scene.

It’s easier than ever to sync your mobile videos with Elements to free up memory on your phone and do fun transformations. Or sync your Elements videos with your mobile, so you can access any memory anywhere.

An enhanced Shake Stabilizer makes action cam footage less shaky, more awesome.

I see we can finally create a Blu-Ray ISO file. Between this and it being a 64-bit app, I'm happy to upgrade this year.

Hmmmm....Tech specs say it works with OSX 10.7 thru 10.9. Mac users intending to upgrade to OSX 10.10 Yosemite next month might want to wait for clarification from Adobe.

I would be very surprised if it didn't work on Yosemite. The kernel of 64-bit OSX has remained essentially the same for the past couple of generations.

I finally get to upgrade, only do so when I get a new camera... so I'm on Photoshop & Premiere Elements 10. My question is, which guide book do I buy? 11 or 13? I've been watching videos on 11 to help get me up to speed a bit. Looking forward to the book and my new camera in the next couple months :-D . Thank you for being here to help me.

Well, if you're going to use Premiere Elements & Photoshop Elements 13, it makes the most sense to use the guide for version 13, of course! ;)
