Organiser auto scene creation

Postby Neil Nand » Wed Mar 19, 2014 7:09 am

Hello,

I've recently started using Premiere Elements 12 as I'm currently travelling around South East Asia & want to edit my videos while travelling and upload them.

I've come across a problem which neither searching Google or these forums has provided an answer to, well not one that I've been able to make use of.

When I import video into the organiser it seems to split single video clips into multiple scenes, is there anyway to stop this? I'd much rather be in control of this and the organiser isn't doing a very good job at detecting what would even be a different scene as almost all my videos are one scene then stopped and started to create a new video file for a separate scene.

Searching Google told me that it's the auto analyser which does this but I haven't been able to work out how to go about turning it off or just getting it to ignore video.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Neil.

Welcome to Muvipix!

I can't help you with the organizer, as I don't use it, but I just wanted to welcome you here. One of the organizer experts will chime in soon, I'm sure.
I find it more convenient to just organize my media by structuring my folders and files as I like rather than using an application to do it for me.

Welcome to the Muvipix community, Neil!

The Auto Analyzer (also called the Media Analyzer) can be turned off in the Organizer's preferences. On a PC, the program's preferences are located under the Edit menu.

Hello,

Thank you both for your replies & the welcome. Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you but my Internet connection in Laos has been a bit slow & intermittent.

Your suggestion worked great Steve, also thanks for your video on Lynda[dot]com, it's how I learnt Premiere Elements 12 & have been editing some videos I've taken recently while travelling.
