good day everyone,
I am trying create a short bit that has a hand punching through the white background with the pointer finger pointing at the person watching the dvd, what do you think would be the easiest way to make this. And cheapest way but make it look good.

Hi Meric1 - Welcome to Muvipix I think "Cheap but good" is doable, just depends on what you had in mind exactly Do you like the idea of using a clipart hand and finger, similar to Monty Python style or would you rather film a real hand? Filming a real hand will take a green screen setup, or if you just use the photo of a hand you can cut that out in Photoshop. A little more info about exactly how you see this working, what the end results is supposed to look like in as much detail as possible, will help get you an answer. Sounds like a fun project

Welcome Meric1 to Muvipix! I love hearing creative ideas. If you use a photo of a hand cut out, then add scale keyframes for a dramatic intro. Maybe some blur too. You could also keyframe a few stars moving outward from the punch and ending off screen. Add some scale to them too. There are free sound fx in the Muvipix Complementary section that may go with this project. Audio will help drive the idea.

Hi, meric! Welcome to town.
If it were me, I'd take a photo of a finger point at the camera and cut it out so that it has not background. Just the hand with the finger point at the camera.
Then I'd use keyframes to animate its appearance and zoom toward the audience.
This would be cheap, to be sure, and much easier than trying to create a complicated video effect.

Hi Meric1,
Maybe you could use a Center Peel transition with the a white background as Video A and the pointing finger as Video B. Maybe key frame some other effects in at the transition point to liven it up a bit.
Love to see it when it's done. Good luck.

Hi Meric and welcome to Muvipix. As you can see from the above postings there are different ways to achieve the effect that you seek. Perhaps you can provide a little more info(?).
