Combining Projects

Postby borgie » Thu Jun 28, 2012 1:11 am

Just completed 3 projects (titled, soundtracked, narrated plus a few goodies picked up in Steve's "Cool Tricks & Hot Tips....". I wish to combine these into one project and add a DVD menu etc. Total running time = 40 minutes.
Am having difficulty understanding the para in Steve's Muvipix.com Guide (on p215). My original footage is AVCHD(1920x1080). In this case, is it better to export each project as .AVI, AVCHD(M2T - H264 1920x1080i 25) or AVCHD(M2T - H264 1920x1080i 30) for no or minimum degradation? System in Australia is PAL.
Thanks
Borgie

If you're going to produce a DVD (which is standard definition video) you should output each segment using Share/Computer/AVI with a DV preset.

Then, once you've got your parts output, start a new project using the DV preset, import your AVIs and author your DVD. Easy cheesy!
