How does one change the duration of a title?

Postby DrDtMM » Sat Apr 21, 2012 11:03 am

It is often not possible to determine the best display time for a title at the time it is created. However, I cannot seem to determine how to change the display time of a title after the fact. It is easy to change the title itself, but all I want to do, for example, is change the display time from 5 seconds to 15 seconds. Thank you.

There are several ways to do that. They should be described in help under the Trim Titles category.

The easiest is in the Timeline view where the length of the title on the timeline determines the duration. Locate the title on the timeline and move the cursor over it. As you move the cursor towards the end that you want to extend, at some point the cursor will change to a bracket with a double arrow through it. When that happens, click and drag the end to the desired position.
