Amazon: PE 10 upgrade more expensive than full ver

Is there something I'm missing, or is this just an odd situation?

Regular version $62.99 (media or download)

Upgrade version $73.24 (media)

This happens when they temporarily discount the price of the full version beyond their normal discount but don't further discount the upgrade version. There have been some really good deals going on with the PE/PRE bundle. Amazon has it right now for about $85 and Adobe had it for $75 for a while. Keep an eye out if you want both programs. People will often post to the forums when they find a good deal.

Thanks for the reply. Wasn't aware of that phenomenon. Will go ahead and order the full version. I have full Photoshop, so pass on PSE.

Depending on how recent a version your Photoshop is, you might want to reconsider. I have Photoshop version 4, but I bought the bundle to get access to Content Aware Filling. It depends on where you are in the upgrade cycle and what your needs are.

Valid point on the PS upgrade cycle. I don't have the latest PS, but I've been so used to its general features that I don't want to go from PS to PSE, even though that would be fine for many of my needs.
