Render File in Organizer

Is there a way to prevent, other than deleting, the render files showing up in Organizer?

My guess is that you have
-- the Watched Folders function of the Organizer set on (perhaps by default)
-- that the destination of your Premiere Elements render files is underneath the folder structure specified for that Watched Folders function

The Elements 10 Organizer workspace Preferences should have settings for "Watched Folders" which you can change.

You are correct in that I have all my video and projects under the video folder which is where I have the watched flag so it gets all subfolders. Often the output generated from the project is kept with the project folders. I would want the organizer to pick these up but not the rendered video. I guess I have to modify my workflow and where I put things then adjust the watched folders flag?

DocB

I don't have Premiere Elements 10 and can't tell you the specific PE project setting which controls where the render files are saved. Hopefully someone else on the forum will post that parameter so that you can change their location.

FYI - You might not need to change the Watched Folders paramter.

You can't specify where the render files go. The render files go in a subfolder of the folder where you save your project.

Thanks RJ. For some reason I don't remember these showing in Organizer in Pre9. I'll have to figure it out.
