Motion Path

Postby Darmy » Sun Nov 20, 2011 11:01 pm

I am hoping to create a motion path in which it will zoom in on the photo and also slowly turn the photo or rotate it to the left.

I was in the zoom and pan window but there is no where that I have found that allows me to turn the photo clip and zoom.

Hope this makes sense. If not ... at 2 minutes and 45 seconds into this video you will see the rotate magic motion in this clip. That is what I am trying to do in Premiere. Can anyone help me please? I am just about pulling my hair out trying to figure out these key frames and stuff.

One way to achieve this is to first select the clip on the timeline. Then open up the Effects Control panel. Here you can set the keyframe values for scale and zoom (for the zoom you'll have to use the Position parameters).

To effect the image rotation select Rotation parameter and adjust it to suit.

You'll need to play around with the settings to get the effect that you want so I suggest creating a mini project just for this effect so that you can explore the options away from your main project.

Do you know, is this something that is explained very well in the Muvipix book? Like step by step? massive details and pictures?

I appear to be having difficulty learning this Premiere 10 program. :pull:

Pretty much. Yeah.

There's an entire chapter that takes you step by step through the process of keyframing motion paths. Plus another section shows you how to use the new Keyframing tool to create motion paths even more simply.
