Is it possible to copy the transition preset and paste into the "my presets" folder? If so, then change the name to start with a number so they show up first in the "my presets" when you import and the order in which you use the most. :-k

Yes, I have undocked the Timeline and the Monitor panels.

Chuck can you undock the properties panel?
Thanks

Was that a general question or was it directed at me? I've never copied a transition preset and I don't seem to have a "my presets" folder. Unsure of the process.

Uh oh. Getting several discussions going at at once in this thread!

No, Richard, you can not undock the Tasks/Properties panel. It is locked to the interface.

I don't suppose this new version will allow editing of 60fp video?

I guess they didn't bring back my old favourite GPU Effects & Transistions.

Is Organizer integrated into Premiere Elements 10 anymore? I don't see under Project or Media.

The Elements Organizer is now a completely separate program.

It can be accessed from Premiere Elements 10 by way of Get Media -- but Premiere Elements no longer includes an Organizer preview screen.

Well, if that's the case, then I continue to believe that the PRE/PSE7 bundle will one day be recognized as a collectors' item--Adobe's best-ever version of the Elements bundle--and intact shrink-wrapped packages will be worth many, many times their original purchase price.

For those who need the ability to work efficiently and quickly in an uncluttered workspace, the Favorites folders, especially the one for transitions, is an absolute must-have.

P.S. That said, I did nevertheless pre-order the 10 bundle on Amazon, as I am interested in seeing how the 64-bit version plays on my 64-bit OS.*

P.P.S. I will also order Steve's book--plus a couple of yellow highlighters  -- through muvipix, as I always learn from Steve's books lots of new information.

Downloaded it last night. Just started playing with it. On my 7 64 bit system seems a little poky for now. Not sure if it is a problem have PRE 7 and PRE 9 also installed on my computer. I never had problem with 7 but upgraded to 9 last year but have never really like it. Hoping 10 fixes a few things. I jumped in after reading about improved avchd handling and getting rid of the organizer. Keeping fingers crossed

quick question.
Since pre 10 can burn avchd to standard dvd you still need a HD/blu ray player to read the file and play in HD. Just becuase its on a stardard DVD a regular DVD player will not be able to play the file correct????
