Re: Blured Title Effect in VegasThe background is keyframed animation applied to a Media Generator. Looks pretty simple really.
3.6 ghz i7-7700 running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with 16 gigs RAM and a 2 terrabyte HD. Also iMac 2.6 ghz dual-core, 4 gigs of RAM, running OSX El Capitan and Boot Camp Windows 10 64-bit.
Blurred title over videoSo - I put together a small title effect using Vegas. The background - as Steve correctly pointed out - is simply generated media. It's there to provide something - as a background - rather than as the point of the title. My timeline is as follows:
So - the tracks have the following uses: Track 1 is the title text. Track 2 is the white box outline (separate track to allow separate animation). Track 3 is the blurred background to the box. I'm using a Mask to restrict the blur to the box. Track 4 - is the video that we want the title over. My issue with it is that the to blur the background I think I need to make a copy of the video track to put the blur on as I only want to blur a section of the video. However having to make a copy (especially if I apply any subsequent edits/effects the the original) seems clunky. Is there a better way to do this? I tried with track grouping but couldn't make it work... You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. Re: Blurred title over videoFor clarity's sake, I've combined these two separate threads into one topic.
That said, I think the way you're doing it is the simplest way to do it, Chris. 3.6 ghz i7-7700 running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with 16 gigs RAM and a 2 terrabyte HD. Also iMac 2.6 ghz dual-core, 4 gigs of RAM, running OSX El Capitan and Boot Camp Windows 10 64-bit.
