Losing the last part of my video

Postby targa912 » Wed Jan 19, 2022 12:33 pm

Trying to use slow motion fx in Vegas Movie Studio 17 Platinum. I have tried splitting off a piece I would like to slow the motion down on and using fx effect, slow motion. When I render it doesn't render the last part of the video. Also tried using slow motion on entire track and it still cuts off the end of the video. This is a copy from an old vsh tape, originally shot on an old camcorder and digitized into mp4. Can't understand why it is cutting off the last part of the video. Any suggestions? I'm using slow motion at 1/2.

I don't use Vegas, but do you need to make sure the whole timeline is selected for render?

I'm sure it's easy something in the method you're using or something about the video you're editing.

We can't know if it's your method without being able to look at it step by step. I don't know if you want to walk us through it in detail so we can see where things are going wrong. A screen shot may also help.

But it might not hurt to share either the video clip you're working with or the specs of it so we can see if that's the issue. To share the specs of your clip, open it in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo, set View to Text and then copy the text of this report and paste it to this forum.

As I said, this MIGHT tell us what's up. But there are so many possible factors, I'm not sure if the MediaInfo report alone will do it. The best way for us to help you troubleshoot your issue is for you to share your video via DropBox or some other file sharing site and for you to tell us step by step what you're doing so we can see if we get the same result.

Finally gave up. I'm a quitter. Used stretch with control and worked out just fine. Now on to Handbrake and reduce file size.

Thanks. Stay warm and safe in Milwaukee. I'm in the Twin Cities area. Found memories of visiting great restaurants in Milwaukee.

YOU keep warm! Aside from a couple dips in temperature, we've had a pretty mild winter here. ;)
