picture compilation

Postby curt y » Fri Mar 11, 2011 7:23 pm

Must be simple, but not simple enough. I have 7 jpeg images I want to use as a slide show, and assume picture compilation will do it.

I click insert pic. comp. and then drag images into button. The images don't change when I double click button and click play in timeline. How do I set it to have each slide say on screen 2 seconds?

I don't know what you mean by "I click insert pic. comp. and then drag images into button."

You should select the option to Insert Picture Compilation and then drag your photos onto the Compilation panel.

Do the photos show up in your Compilation panel? (Shares the tabbed space with the Timeline panel.)

Once they're in there, you can selected them and set the Compilation Properties to set the duration for each slide to 2 seconds, if you'd like.

If you drag onto the button, it will do a replace on the image, not an add. Open the picture compilation (double click on the button or on the picture compliation entry in the navigation panel). Now you can add the images. The easiest way is to locate the image in the explorer tab and double click on it -- repeat for each image.

When I click on Pic. Compilation it creates a text and thumbnail window. I drug the photos into the thumbnail. It shows pictures but they do not change when I click play.

OK, got it to work. Thanks Bob

By the way, I ordered Steve's book from Amazon on Wed. and it still has not shipped. Even though it said it was in stock they apparently they are waiting for a copy to ship.

Observation..
If you selected Amazon's "free" shipping you go to the back of the line and it can take a week to get out of the warehouse ...."Nada is really free" ... I got it quickly by simply paying the min shipping.
