Rendered Preview Files Problem

Specific to Premiere Elements Version 9.

Rendered Preview Files Problem

Postby RJ Johnston » Wed Feb 09, 2011 11:02 pm

On my machine, if the preview monitor in Premiere Elements 9 is set to 100% magnification, when I load a project, the rendered preview files aren't available, and all the red and green lines are missing.

To fix the problem, I set the magnification of the preview monitor to anything but 100%, close the project, and open it again.

Good find/good tip, RJ. Makes one curious as to how rigorous Adobe's testing is. :???:

Hi Robert, I am not seeing the issue that you are seeing in PE9. When I open projects with 100% magnification all the green and red lines appear. Odd!!

Hello again, Paul. There is one setting that I always change that I bet you don't change. I always change External Device from DV-AVI to NONE. Right-click on the preview monitor and select Playback Settings to get there. With that set to NONE and the magnification set to 100%, the red and green lines are gone.

Hi Robert, yep, setting the External Device to NONE and setting magnification to 100% I see the issue.
