Video keyframing missing on timeline ?!

Postby rfjg » Tue Dec 07, 2010 11:16 am

Just started playing around with PRE9, I hope I'm missing something obvious, but why is the keyframing controls missing from video tracks 2 & 3 ?

Does closing/re-opening the project fix it?

Nope, closing and re-opening does not fix it. In another project they are there. Strange behaviour... #-o

I tested this last night. I also don't have the keyframing controls on track 2 and 3. That doesn't mean I can't keyframe through the properties panel, the controls are just not there on the timeline.

Restarting does not correct the problem for me.

But playing around, I copied a clip from the timeline on video track 1 to video track 1 at a later point in the timeline. Then all of the sudden the keyframing controls appeared on video tracks 2 and 3.

Strang,. Maybe just editing or adding clips to the timeline make them appear. Needs more investigation.

So far every new project I’ve started in PRE9 is missing the video keyframing controls on track 2 & 3, audio keyframe controls are always there.

Adding video clip on either track 2 or 3, keyframing them in the property panel does not make them appear.

However, when I added a video track, they showed up on track 2 & 3, but not the newly created track 4, but dragging a clip from video 2 to track 4, then they appeared on track 4.

Update, resizing the vertical height of the timeline panel seems to make them appear!

I am sure that Adobe will say that this is by design :)

When I re-sized to medium the keyframe controls do not appear. When I re-size back to small then they appear. So that's the workaround.
