Hi Cheryl,

What do you think of the T5i and do you think this is a good deal?

Looks like the company I am contracting with needs to send me to Hong Kong and Shanghai next month, would love to have a nice camera to take on that trip :)

Good price on the bundle Chuck. The T4i & the T5i are the same camera. The only difference is the dial on the T5i rotates a complete 360 and there is a different display on one of the info screens. Everything else is the same.

Before you buy the bundle you linked to, you may want to check out reviews on the lenses. The 75-300 is an inexpensive lens for under $200. F4-5.6 will not get you low light.

My favorite walking around lens is the Canon 40mm f/2.8 STM Pancake lens. Super sharp! On a crop body it is more like 64mm. This is great for walking around street views, etc. It is super light weight and inconspicuous.
And at $149 a great price!

Also in regards to the bundle link Chuck, it doesn't show what class or write speed on the SD card. May want to research.

Thanks John, wish I was coming your way but I've never been to China.

Thanks for the advice and info Cheryl !! The camera alone without the extra gear is priced under $700, I could get a decent lens and some good SD cards and be all set :)

Be careful of companies offering bundles. There are few scammers out there that do bait & switch and upsell your order. Here is a discussion on the seller in your link:
