Bob, that really is great !

Chuck or Ron,
I have questions about playing clips from muvipix forums on my iPad.

For this specific WMV file, I do not see an image within the post. Therefore I was puzzled how I could initiate play.

What finally worked for me was to touch the name of the WMV file within the
post, which gave me a message to open the file using Dropbox. Saving the file under my Dropbox then allowed me to play the video. However, I suspect that there is a better solution for playback.......

I have iOS 5 - Perhaps I need an app on the iPad to play WMV files ?

Doesn't surprise me, Barb. It's quite simple - Apple and Microsoft don't play nice. I don't have an iPad, maybe someone else can test for us, but I would think that it's similar to the Apple/Flash debate - they just don't want to shake hands for whatever reason.
Regards,
-Ron

I believe Ron is exactly right.

Apple tablets (including iPods and iPhones) don't include a player for WMV or FLV files. (You can play YouTube files because the FLV player is embedded on their site.)

Looks good bro. :) If you dont mind a little constructive criticism, I would change the extrude on the secondary line. the "e" in videos and picture's are either too distracting or unreadable. A little personal taste to try out would be to darken the BG and add a subtle glow to the text. boost the comp to 32 bpc. I think that would make it pop more. nice experiment!

OK, I've created a version with a smaller extrusion on the 2nd line. I've upload two variations to the gallery.

Great. I think the subtle glow enhances the look. Nailed it.

I think it looks great, so don't take this wrong. Should it have a period after the word pictures? The one on the home page does.

Barb, there is a free app called MoliPlayer HD. Install that and you can play almost any video file on your iPad. If you have it installed you still have to click on the name of the video and you have to make a choice how to open it. Choose MoliPlayer and it starts playing right away.

I used the version from the original logo contest. Several versions were included in the entry, but none had a period after "pictures".

If Chuck or Steve would like to have the period, I could add it.

WOW! That is SO COOL, Bob!

(Is this the kind of thing After Effects is for?)

BTW, First post, first page, I get a grey box with a message that a plug-in is needed to play this file. Doesn't say what plug-in.

Bob's 3rd post, with the link; I get a popup asking if I want to open in Windows Media Player. Clicking Yes, then it plays.

Both versions in the Muvipix Gallery play. I like the darker background best!
