Got both my submissions in for the year. I completely disregarded, and actually forgot about the theme almost immediately upon hearing about it.

Can't wait to see what everyone has done this year! =D>

Don't think I will make it.. I don't keep hardly anything on my lapto but my video that i was going to enter is on it.It has pretty much bit the dirt. I have a friend who has graciouly volunteered to try to salvage my files. When you turn it on now it won't boot up.. So we will see..good luck to everyone!!
Go out and make it a great day. The choice is yours!

Sorry to hear that Donna. Maybe your friend will be able to recover everything, I'm hoping for you too :)

Don't tempt me Peru! I've got hours of stuff I might turn into a whole bucketful of three minute wonders!

Don't you just love computers? :(
This is my first attempt to upload to the gallery. It all seemed to be going well; clicked on 2010 contest box, clicked upload file, browsed to the video and thumbnail files, clicked continue. Got the usual green indicator thingy rolling along slowly plus 'waiting for http://muvipix.co/cpg/upload.php...' That's the worrying bit. After about ten minutes is says 'done' and when I click continue get a message '0 uploads sucessfully completed' and no option to enter a description.
I've tried this three times and it's always the same.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Video file is a 9MB .wmv and the thumbnail is a 5KB JPEG

Hm, can't imagine what the problem could be. Try uploading only the video first and see if that helps. Worst case, if it's only 9MB, you could email it to me - ron AT muvipix DOT com.

Thanks Ron,

I''ve just had another go and it's still the same. Only transfering a few hundred bytes per second so something's not right. I'll have a look at network settings and try a change of security settings in IE8 (I'm still beding in a new PC and W7 64 bit system) tomorrow as it's past my bedtime here in WA. If I can't find anything I'll email the files.

I did try to find some instructions on using the gallery but no luck. Maybe a guide and FAQ at the top of the showcase section would help? At least then I'd know for sure I've been clicking all the right buttons.

Thanks again.

Well I think you're lucky that it's only 9mb and is easily emailed. I think, at least yahoo, caps you at 10mb for attachments.
