Just a question.....is it possible to win more than 1 prize? Or out of all your entries you can win the highest "position" possible, and then that's it. Or if someone uploaded completely awesome videos and won every category they'd win everything? I can't seem to put it in the right words, haha, basically.....can you win more than 1 prize? Or is there a limit? Thanks!

Each person can only win one prize, this has been the rule since 2005.
If you place 1st in slideshow and 3rd in Mini Movie then you get the 1st place prize.
You will always get the top prize for the category that you win.

This year we are allowing the winners to choose their prize, we have a prize pool and the prizes will be drawn by the winners from top to bottom.
If you win the overall grand prize award then you pick first and so on, but you only get to pick once. One prize per person, that gives more people a chance to win :)

Did the upload go through Cinde?

I'm glad the decision of who gets awarded isn't entirely up to me.

There are so many excellent entries!

Good to hear Cinde :)

I think that I counted too many videos, some of those were probably thumbnails.
I will wait for Ron to get them all organized and he can let us know the total, but it will probably be less than 34

Sorry Cinde, I don't have it for some reason. Are you sure you put it in the 2008 Video Contest Album? Or maybe mistakenly one of your albums?

If you can't locate it, go ahead and upload it to one of your albums and I'll take care of the rest. Let me know when you have it in there.

Including Cinde's entry, there's a total of 28 videos.

-Ron

Do you have to register in order to vote? Or can anyone who visits the site vote?

I started to look through the videos and I am really impressed at how good they all are. I do not know if this was discussed before, but I thought it was nice to not see any submission names with the videos.

When I am done writing down all the cool tricks I want to steal, I mean learn..... I can go back and watch them again.

Is there a ballot or is it simply going by the 'star' ranking at the bottom of each video?

Just use the Star Rating for each video, please rate them all :)
The system calculates an average score for each one, the highest average score wins the People's Choice award.
Steve, Ron and I will score each video for the other awards and add our scores with the People's Choice score for the Grand Prize winner.
All other prizes are based on the score given by Ron, Steve and I.

Just finished looking through all the contest entries. Some excellent entries with heaps of talent. My favourite section was the Commercial/Trailer section.
Well done to everyone who entered.
