Wow, Cinde pretty frightening walking the sky bridge. Dave's photo added the height. Beautiful area that you live.

I liked very much the concept: risk and adventure as main aspect of my surroundings.
I liked it because it shows the director's personality, travelling, dynamic, hard working.
Enthousiasm as a detail of the landscape is fantastic for me.
I enjoyed a lot crossing the tunnel, fantastic textures of the trees and of the rock wall at the end of it.

Francesco, your video took me to places that I've never been, and likely will never be. I like your imagery, and the ability to find art in the small things. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Chris, no worries about your voice. I've always hated the sound of my own voice in recordings, but I guess it's in the ear of the beholder. Yours is fine. The video was fascinating and entertaining. The river Wey and its appearance and navigation history reminds me of our local Miami-Erie canal, built in the early to mid 1800s to connect Lake Erie to the Ohio River. We can't compete with the age of things in your country. :) There are a number of locks and at least a couple of places that you can still ride on a mule-towed canal boat. The experience is kind of like watching grass grow, but the history is something I find interesting. Anyway, I liked your video very much. ::CLAP:

When is the deadline? Hopefully not for a few weeks. It has been raining or overcast for the last couple of weeks and this weekend has a heat index of 100+. Hopefully next weekend will be nice to get out and shoot.

I thought everyone decided that submissions could be made throughout the entire month of September? That is probably the only way some people (me included) will be able to get a video into the contest.

Here's my effort. It is in standard def, 4:3 format due to an "ID Ten T" error!

Ciao John,

for me the "mistake" of editing in 4:3 is very welcome, how could I have enjoyed the procession and its pointing towards the infinite without?
As well as the spring in the luminaire, the space in the market, the architecture, the street proportions, the full Christ's statue?
In one word, people in their own environment.

The increasing pace is really effective and emotional.

I liked a lot the sequence of the shop windows in the closing scene.

Hey John, I'm from Sardinia !

Cool festival John! I liked hearing the original audio, it felt like I was there. The large Christ figure being carried was impressive. Looked like it wobbled for a second there. Heavy?

Shades of Godfather II, John!

Beautifully filmed. You do get the sense of being there. I like the format too.

Isn't there another thread where most (all the other?) videos are posted?

Very heavy! They had to stop every thirty or forty yards or so to take a breather.

Stories of far away lands. I really enjoyed this John. Like the others, I couldn't believe the size of the loads that were being carried! You could see how much work there was for the bearers. Not much sidewalk or distance between the street and buildings in some of those places. Thanks for this contribution John. :TU:
