BluffTitler has a big learning curve...help!

Postby rvrkids » Wed Feb 15, 2012 9:31 pm

BluffTitler is throwing me for a loop alot more than PEl ever did.

Question: If I am making my project resolution in BT the same as my PEl project (720x480) then why, when I import the video file that I exported from BluffTitler, is the frame smaller than my PEl project?

I have a title that I zoom to behind the camera so it goes off screen but because my title frame is smaller, you can see the edge of the title frame within my PEl frame and it looks weird.

I have looked at the BT tutorials that were mentioned on this forum...is it just me or is it hard to figure out. I find myself just changing things to see what it looks like but have no idea why.

Thanks for any help.

I find that I have to output from BT and then use the Motion Properties in PPro (it works the same as in Pre El) to adjust it to fit the screen as needed.

I just experiment to see which size output works best.

You can try asking on the BT site, too.

It's too bad that Steve Grisetti hasn't writen a book on BT. :(
Hey Steve- are you reading this? :-

Try this:
Right click on your title
Click on "Interpret Footage"
Click on "Conform To"
Then click the appropriate size you want to make your title
It worked for me in 1440 hdv, all my created titles were to small to fill the frame... Hope this helps

I will give it a try. Thanks.

Even more than the sizing, I'm having problems with all of the colors interacting. I just made a title with a black background, text color was white but when I imported the avi file into my PEl project, the text was black. I'm sure it has something to do with the lighting but haven't figured that out yet.
