need about 100 random transitions - easy way?

Discussions concerning Premiere Elements version 1 - 4.

need about 100 random transitions - easy way?

Postby coolstuffiniowa » Tue Sep 09, 2008 7:41 pm

I have about 100 transitions I need to fill in - and I wanna use mostly cross dissolve for the transitions.........
the question is -

Is there a way I can click on something to automatically fill in all the transitions at one time?

So I dont have to drag in each transition?

Or - perhaps mix up all the different transitions randomly and insert them?

Look forward to the response

Steve's article on creating a slideshow in Premiere Elements will show you how, but you can't do it after the clips are on the timeline.

I also have a video tutorial on creating an instant slideshow, that will show you how as well

The trick is to create the slideshow in Photoshop Elements (which has this random transitions feature) and then port it over to Premiere Elements for output.

As Chuck says, my article tells you how -- and Chuck's tutorial shows you the process.

But if you are going to use mostly cross dissolves then you can do it all in Premiere Elements using the Create Slideshow Feature.
It will put the default transition between all clips, then you just change the ones you need to.

I created a theme http://muvipix.com/cpg/displayimage.php?pos=-1581 that will put random transitions between photos. You could edit the main theme file and change the transitions to whatever you want. You actually create the theme using Premiere Elements 4.0, but you need to know the process for creating and editing existing themes.

Here's a whole thread on creating your own themes. You may want to search for the word "Themes" that might appear throughout the community.
