Monitor Window - turning off wide screen

Postby gwhite » Sat Nov 17, 2007 7:44 pm

I am using PE 3, I have a WideScreen monitor - but am using a Sony DCR-PC105, shooting in standard fullscreen format.

For the life of me, I can not get my PE3 Monitor window to show in Full screen - it only shows in Wide Screen. When I look at my General Project Setting, my Pixel ratio says WideScreen 16:9 (1.2) - but its grayed out. whenever I put in Titles they come out Widescreen - and when I export to DVD - the footage is full screen inside a Wide screen window.

I am feeling like this the answer will be obvious, but darned if I can't find it. Any help is appreciated.

thanks!

Did you start a Widescreen project or a Standard project? On the Splash screen you need to click on Setup and select a Standard Def project 4:3, not Widescreen.

Look under Project/Settings/General to see if you have a 4:3 or 16:9 widescreen project. You may need to create a new project of the correct aspect ratio.

Edit: ya beat me!
