Has anyone else seen this problem? Many times the board index page loads strangely. The forum listings and the graphical elements don't appear where they should be - slightly off. Only seems to happen on the index page though. Usually reloading the page gets it right. Selecting a forum always works, even though the graphical elements are superimposed upon the selection.
If no one else ever gets this then perhaps it's just my satellite service. It seems to spit out web pages in small pieces. Can't wait until DSL gets out here in the wilderness!

The only thing that is ever a little 'off' is the what's new section. The 'line' between the two contests appears within the type and then it will correct itself after I scrowl and release the mouse. Nothing worth noting but since it's been brought up.
Ken - what browser are you using?

I use IE6 because I can't stand the supposed improvements in v7. I just opened a new browser and here is what I got:

LOL. I'm using IE7 and I have the problem where you don't have the problem. Does it go away when you use your mouse scroller or if you click on the scrowl bar and then release it? That cures it for me.
It doesn't happen at all in Firefox. I'm sure Ron will figure it out.

The cure you mentioned doesn't work for me. I notice that once everything gets downloaded on the page, the graphic elements refresh and re-register their positions on the page but not enough to register correctly.
Interesting side note - my Links shortcut to muvipix was old. It was muvipix.com/phpbb2/ and it was redirecting to muvipix.com/phpBB2/index.php. I thought maybe changing that would correct the problem but no luck.
My Wildblue satellite service sends the pages in "spurts". Two bars, pause, four bars, pause, six bars, pause, then finally the full page. It does not help if I yell at the computer either!

I think it may be time to upgrade to IE7, Ken. I'm pretty sure that the old browser just can't handle the new [CSS] style sheets (not saying that they're correct, just new). If you don't like some features in IE7, then simply don't use them. What features don't you like?
I use FF almost exclusively and have never had the problems you mentioned. When I do use IE7 (for compatibility checks, etc), I still have never seen the problem.

I suggest Firefox as well, but I have installed IE7 finally this year and it works fine.

Must be just me, huh OK, I need one of the latest browsers to keep up with this very avant-gard forum I guess I need to find out how customizable IE7 is anyway. It has those two, huge, cartoonish buttons - and the functions I use all the time have disapeared in some obscure menu where I can't seem to find them. The poor display from IE6 does not hinder any functionality on this forum - it just looks bad.

Well, you were right! IE7 displays just fine. And, running the mouse over the list of sub-forums causes each one to turn yellow! I didn't know what I was missing! I will never be able to go back to IE6.

Ken, I know I'm a day late and a dollar short on this one, but I've had these kinds of problems before (not just with this site). They've always been solved by cleaning out my browser temporary files.

I also have IE6 at work and see this exact problem quite frequently. I have IE7 at home but don't believe I have encountered it there. I will watch for it at home.
