Another question?

Postby bassgreg » Tue Feb 20, 2007 10:17 am

I created a profile for the forums so I could add a topic last night, but then I joined the website a few hours later. Is there a way to link the two? I noticed when I log into my Member account it didn't log me into the forum section, I need to log into them with my original profile?

By the way what a great site, I look forward to learning lots.

One more thing I just noticed, Is there a spellchecker for the forums? I know sometimes my fingers don't type what I am thinking?

Hi Greg,

The Members Area is securely controlled via PayPal ID (email address). Whereas the Forum, Gallery & Chat are your own created username / password. They must remain separate for the subscriptions function to work. In other words, if you were to change your member username (email) to something else, you would no longer be able to control the subscription.

And no, there's no spellchecker currently installed. I would like to keep the modifications to a minimum so as not to cause problems.

We don't mind if you make a few typos, it happens to all of us :)
Regards,
-Ron

The latest version of Firefox (2.0.0.2) has a spell-checker built in :!:

The Google toolbar also has a spelling checker - the button on mine is getting worn out! ;-)
