lost imported AVI

Postby 357 » Wed Sep 07, 2011 7:03 am

I was importing a movie via ADS converter into PE7 from my TV (Direct TV) and everything was being recorded until Direct TV's "autotune" changed the channel to another I wanted to record. I lost the 2 hr movie. Could that be recovered from the hard drive or was it never actually written to the drive? Recovery software? This has happen before and I attribute it to the millisecond loss of the tv signal when the channel changed. I used Windows search to no avail.

If you were capturing the video, it should be on your drive somewhere.

I would not be willing to pay for recovery sofware to recover this movie. It is not that inportant. I just wanted to see if this lost video could be found, if on the hard drive, by using freeware. Any ideas other than the Windows search that I have done?

Do a date search through your computer files. If it's there, you'll see it.

Otherwise, it didn't happen.
