Handwriting text

Postby Bubby Grub » Sun Jul 24, 2011 5:54 pm

Hi Guys,

I have a widescreen project in PE7, and I have a kind of Autograph sequence through it, what I would like to have
if possible is say a certain quote around 3 to 4 lines have it being written on to the page natural handwriting.
Is this possibe.
I do have a tutorial on my files for some handwriting which was done through Photoshop, Snagit, then PE, but that was
only one line, and I wondered if there may be something that would be better, I feel doing it with that method, I am
not sure how successful it would be, plus I think I would be there for ever. I remember I did see a tutorial for doing one line, in AE
sometime ago, but I have no idea where I got it from now, plus I am not sure if it would work with 3 to 4 lines.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance

You're talking about having the handwriting appear "live" onscreen, right?

There is a tool in After Effects that makes this very easy to do. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to do it in Premiere Elements.

However, if you post the text you want handwritten -- or, better, a graphic of it handwritten so we can trace over it, maybe one of our After Effects people will help create the sequence for you. Assuming it's not too long or elaborate, of course.

Hi Steve,
I have to rush out right now, but thanks so much for the help.
Yes I can post the text I need when I get back it is only 3 lines, but you did mention AE tool, I do have AE but
I am not really on the best of terms with it at the moment, I am still on a very step learning curve, but
if anyone could point me in the right direction, I am certainly prepared to give it a go myself if it is possible.
Will check in when I get back.
Thanks again

Great! If you've got After Effects, you can easily do it yourself!

Here's a simple tutorial for using the Write-On effect.
