I have a photo that I am using in PE7 to make a video and I get this crazy pattern that happens with bricks. If I ever new the answer to correct this , I have forgotten! Hi! Chuck, Steve

I think you're talking about the moire pattern effect.

It happens a lot with fine details, like Venetian blinds and pinstriped shirts. Photographers and videographers know to avoid these patterns like the plague! But how extreme the effect is depends on how fine the pattern is and what resolution you're shooting your video in.

Well, it's better to avoid it completely. For instance, every cameraman knows the danger of dressing an actor in a pinstriped shirt.

And how exaggerated it is depends on your camcorder/camera, lighting, the detail in the striped pattern, etc.

But, as Bob says, if we can see an example, we may be able to make a recommendation.

is it possible to use a gaussian blur over the brick pattern to mute the look. Or if you can use photoshop to make the bricks a seperate layer and the put an effect on the bricks. might help to lessen the effect.
