Actually successfully made a movie!

Postby kathyconnolly » Thu Apr 14, 2011 8:55 pm

Look on youtube. http://youtu.be/96oSEMQsoEM

Now I'm working on my next one. I'm looking for a classroom cartoon scene to use as a backdrop if anyone knows where I can go.

Thanks for all your help!

Very cute. I could use one of them wigs. What did you use for a green screen Kathy?

We taped light blue bulletin board paper on the cafeteria wall. It didn't work flawlessly, but it did the best I have seen.

I have maintenance painting the walls in one room a royal blue. I'm hoping that will work well.

The wigs are quite colorful, aren't they?

I can't wait to see their Lady Gaga song. It's tomorrow.

Thanks,

Kathy

p.s. I've actually purchased blue and green screens, but none of them are really high quality. The paper works better. I've also purchased fabric. I'm hoping that the painting will be the ticket!

It should work well. Much easier to get flat lighting and, of course, fabric has creases whereas, generally speaking, walls don't! At home I use a green wall as it much easier than setting up my green screen....

Liked the clip, by the way :-D

Kathy, you might want to get some feedback from some of the folks here about blue vs green. I do know that many have said that green will actually work better, but I don't know why. If your wall hasn't been painted yet it might be worth looking into.

Those are cool, but I need animated backgrounds. If I buy something on iTunes, can I import it into Premiere Elements?

I don't mind buying something. :yh:

Just be sure that the size matches your project.
If you are producing standard definition videos then 720 x 480 or larger would be fine.

What kind of animation are you looking for? Have you checked our products section?
We have lots of animated backgrounds available, 1000's of them actually :)

Yes, I used quite a few of them. I'm looking for something colorful with kids - maybe a classroom scene. I only want about 30 seconds of it, but I'm not sure where to go to find it. I found some cartoons on a data base - Kozmo Goes to School, School Daze, Charlie Brown, etc.

Hi Kathy,
The more descriptive you can be the easier it will be for us to help you find something.
How are you going to use it? Can you describe what you have in mind for the video and the background?
Thanks :)

I would like to use it to add some color/flair to the video. Actually to engage my elementary students more.

The song is "All the TAKS Takers" based on Beyonce's "All the Single Ladies". It's encouraging the students to do their best on the state assessments. These are the lyrics so anything colorful that will go along with it.

All the TAKS Takers, All the TAKS Takers
All the TAKS Takers, All the TAKS Takers
All the TAKS Takers, All the TAKS Takers
All the TAKS Takers,

Now get your pencils sharp
Up in my desk mint in my mouth
Doing my brain ship thing
Today is the test wanna do my best
Cause this is the T.A.K.S.

Gotta enough sleep, Had good eats
Have you been paying attention
Worked all year it’s finally here
Now it’s all up to me

Cause if the answers right you
Better put a mark on it
Cause if the answers right you
Better put a mark on it
Don’t be mad once you see that he got it
Cause if the answers right you
Better put a mark on it
Oh, Oh, oh

Cause if the answers right you
Better put a mark on it
Cause if the answers right you
Better put a mark on it
Don’t be mad once you see that he got it
Cause if the answers right you
Better put a mark on it

The time is here, no need to fear
You’ve have all the tools you need
Open up your books now take a look
Bubble in A, B,C, or D

Take your time read every line
Make sure you follow directions
Don’t finish fast, the chance might pass
Go back and check your answers carefully.

Cause if the answers right you
Better put a mark on it
Cause if the answers right you
Better put a mark on it
Don’t be mad once you see that he got it
Cause if the answers right you
Better put a mark on it
Oh, Oh, oh

Thanks,
Kathy :-8

What will the cartoon video be a background for? Will the words to the song be in front of the background or something else? Sorry, I'm just trying to get a good idea of what the actual video is about and will look like :)

It will be a background to the teachers singing and dancing.
