Windows Host Process Rundll32 has stopped working

Postby NuffRespeck » Sat Feb 12, 2011 8:21 pm

Greetings! I am seeking advice on how to correct the following error message whenever I try to get media into PE7. "Windows Host Process (Rundll32) has stopped working".
This occurs only with PE7. I have unistalled and reinstalled PE7 on numerous occasions but to no avail. Other software such
as Adobe Photoshop CS5 are functioning as designed. I have also run Symantec's FixSirc to determine if my computer was infected with the SirCam
worm. The scan indicated no SirCam worm was detected. A MalwareBytes scan also reported no viral or malware infection. Your assistance in solving
this vexing problem will be greatly appreciated. [-o< [-o< [-o<

We, the members of the Intergalactic Council have elected John 'twosheds' McDonald, the new Ultimate Guardian for his guidance in solving the debilitating 'windows host process (rundll32) has stopped working' threat to our colony. =D> =D> \:D/ \:D/

Control Panel>Folder Options>Always show Icons, Never Thumbnails.

I, as Second Guardian, cannot thank you enough for directing me to the Vista site which explained a possible solution. Also, thanks to the entire Muvipix community who is always there to provide assistance in time of need.
