In a video, I assemble clips onto the timeline and then add a Scene menu marker for each one. However, when I have to drop another scene in between scenes, the menu markers get fouled up and I have to clear them all and reenter.

Is there way to avoid having to do this work all over again?

The only way I know of is to wait until the very, very, end to add the markers
Do that as the very last thing before burning the DVD.
