In the process of editing PE7 suddenly inverts the colors of the preview. When I export the video, the colors stay inverted. It looks like an artistic filter. Does anyone know this problem? Is it a bug?

This is a new one Ralph, don't remember hearing this come up before.
Hopefully someone has experienced this and can help.

Meanwhile, what is the original video format and where did it come from?
What project preset did you use and how long is the project?
Have you added any effects or changed any clip properties?

Did you accidently apply one of the effects filters?

Have you gone to the ATI or nVidia web site to ensure you have the latest video driver?

This week Microsoft released a massive number of updates and patches. Often when your operating system is updated, it knocks an outdated driver loopy.

Thanks - and sorry for the late answer - I was a bit off the track.

I am working in a stundent computer lab and all pcs have the same configuration, get the same updates and all work with the same video files (caputred from DV cameras). The inversion of colors happend on two systems of 15. No filters were used, as far as I can tell. As all computers are being refurbished right now with an new OS-image I will be able to test if it happens again. I'll keep you updated.

Meanwhile all the computers in the lab have been set up newly with an windows image including all installations. Again there is one PC (out of 16) where PRE7 shows inverted colors. It's not the same PC as last time. Very strange.
