PE7 Not booting up

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone may have an answer to this problem. This has happened to me before not often, but when it does it is rather annoying.
Say I am working in a project save and turn off. Then when I try to re enter the program it boots up, then PE7 just minimises to the bottom of the screen
and thats it. The only way I have found out of it, is to uninstall PE7 and then re-install. Then it's ok. Any ideas why this happens?

I don't know why it happens, but next it does happen, try deleting the preferences file. The file is named "Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs." In Windows XP it would be in C:\Documents and Settings\[account name]\Application Data\Adobe\Premiere Elements\7.0\.

In Folder options in the Control Panel you need to "show hidden files and folders" in order to have access to that folder.

And of course go to Windows Update to ensure you have even the non-critical OS updates. And go to Apple.com and download the latest Quicktime, which plays an important role in all PC-based video editing.

Tried everything, but the only thing that worked was to uninstall and reinstall, and even then I had to go in and call up New Project,
then go out and call up my working Project and all worked.
Just another mystery I guess.
