iLink v Firewire

Postby Cope This 719 » Fri Mar 26, 2010 12:48 am

I am contemplating buying a Canon HF S21 that does not have a Firewire connection. It does have a iLink connection though. In using a iLink does this take the place of a firewire If so how does it connect to a PC and does it loose any of the Hi Def quality.

Thanks John

iLink is the term normally used by Sony for firewire so iLink and firewire are the same thing.

i.Link (Sony) and Firewire (Apple) are brand names for the IEEE 1394 interface.
