Hi peze1, a warm welcome to Muvipix.

Unfortunately PE7 does not capture from USB devices. You could capture your video with Ulead into DV-AVI format and then import this into PE7. PE7 works best with DV-AVI format.

Alternatively you could purchase a DV-AVI capture unit such as the ADS Tech Pyro Link or the Canopus ADVC-55 or -100. These units capture over a Firewire interface into DV-AVI format.

Yes, Welcome to Muvipix :meet:

And any of the devices that Paul mentions will show up as a capture device in Premiere Elements just like a MiniDV camcorder will.
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

Tjenare, peze! And welcome to Muvipix!

Just to add to what the others said, I'd also recommend against devices that digitize video and capture it over USB. Most of these devices come with software, and they're usually best used only with that software.

Premiere Elements nearly always has trouble with video captured by these USB devices.
HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro

Hello peze1 and welcome to Muvipix from me.

It looks like PaulLS suggestion may be the best way to go as it means that you don't have to buy any additional hardware or software.
