Your auto-saves should be in the same folder as your project, Bonnie. In the Adobe Premiere Elements Auto-Save folder.

The auto-save files will end in .prel, just like project files.

Same old problem, when finished editing when I attempt to use titles,"---and has to shut down"comes up and I have to start over.
This time I saw that the program had been auto saved,so I clicked on it reopen it and this message,"cant open file or wrong codec"etc, bonnie

That is really strange. I don't even have a clue why that would happen :-k

What's the size of the auto save file? If the length is zero or very small, the auto save was probably not performed. You need to save the open project once manually before autosave will kick in. Did you do that?

You could try deleting the workingset.prsl (styles) file, which is associated with titles. That Style file has been known to become corrupted.

In Windows XP the path is C:\documents and settings\adobe\premiere elements\7.0\styles\workingset.prsl.

If there is a temporary file in that folder, delete that as well. Exit out of Premiere Elements before trying to delete those files.
