THEME TROUBLE

Postby Cope This 719 » Fri Feb 26, 2010 7:46 pm

I have not been able to use themes on already edited footage in Elements 7.

This is what happens
I have selected some of the footage, I then go to Tasks Edit and then themes. I understand that at this point I should be able to select a theme (no Problem ) click on Next and continue from there on. However the next button is dimmed and cannoy be selected.

Any ideas would be appreciated
John

Is the footage that you have selected on the timeline?

You must select your footage on the timeline and a theme, then you will be able to click the Next button.

John, have you got all of the clips selected on the timeline and do you have a theme selected also?

Have you tried another theme, to ensure the problem isn't unique to one theme?

There are a couple of tutorials on using Themes and creating Instant Movies in the subscriber's section, but there aren't any in the Free Section. Maybe we should do one for the free section?
Steve, is there anything about this in the Basic Training Tutorials? The problem is probably just a procedure thing, like Steve suggests above.

I've never done a tutorial on it, Chuck. But we certainly can, for the next batch.

Though it sounds like John may be having some fundamental problems, if selecting the video and selecting a theme at the same time isn't activating that Next button.

I have done two tutorials on Themes and Instant Movies, just haven't done a free one yet.
I was wondering if you included anything about that in your Basic Training Tutorials?
