Menus from Photoshop.com downloads are reversed

Postby JohnnyO » Tue Dec 16, 2008 8:27 pm

I noticed that the menus, specifically the Halloween and Christmas ones, have the "play all" and "scene selection" buttons reversed on the main page. I have not tried the autumn menu yet.

What this means is that when you put the DVD in and press play on your remote, it will go into the scene selection menu instead of playing the movie. This can be very annoying.

This can be easily corrected if you burn to disk. You can use pgcedit to fix this in a couple of minutes.

I have not had this issue with any menu that came with Premiere Element.

That's kind of an annoyance, isn't it, Johnny?

It's related to the order the layer sets are stacked in the template. If it were my template or even a template that was included with the program, I'd be glad to fix it and provide a replacement for download. I'm just not sure I can do that with premium content though.

I agree Steve. Better off not fixing premium content and offering it as download. Adobe would not like that.

I know how to fix the template. When I get a few moments I may do this. But for a quick fix, pgcedit works fine. It would take me a lot longer to fix the template when I probably would not be using it again for some time. It may not be worth the effort.

I sent a message to the Photoshop.com people at Adobe, they should get them fixed.
And I'm sure they thank you for finding the problem Johnny :)

Actually, fixing these in Photoshop Elements is quite easy I have found. All you need to do is make sure the plan movie button is at a lover layer that the scene button. aApparently the buttion's priorities have to do with the layer it is on.

I fixed the ones that were bad, which is Halloween and Christmas. Autumn was OK.
