DVD Templates

Postby jimfallis04 » Sun Oct 19, 2008 6:36 am

Hi All:

I've modified an existing DVD template. I created a "Custom" sud-directory and placed the new template there. I had to override security to save the files. I followed the naming conventions. PrEl7 sees the new sub-directory but does not bring up the new menus.

Please help me.

Thank you
Jim

You had to modify the security? Is that a Vista thing?

Anyway, naming conventions are very important, in order to Premiere Elements to recognize the files. You must have been a scene menu (sm) and main menu (mm) template in a set and their names must be identical except for the "mm" and "sm".

Can you give me any more information on your workflow, Jim? What did you name your template files? Were you original template files from a version 7 template? Where did you create your new folder for your template?

Any details you can offer can be helpful in our troubleshooting this.

Hi Steve:

Thank you for the reply.

I have it working now. I copied the mmpng_prv_mm and smpng_rv_sm files into subdirectory and PrEl 7 recognized the new template files.

Thank you
