Steve,

I have the Premiere Elements 2 in a Snap book, very good, everyone should have it. When your new book is listed on the Canadian Amazon site I'll buy it.

Just checked Amazon and Steve's book has been shipped but not yet the software.

No problem!

That gives me time to read the book to learn whether there's enough new stuff to warrant upgrading from PE4 which, at this point in time, does everything I need--and more. image176 [Gospel according to Steve]

Good timing Steve!

Someone said that the chromakey function in 7 is better than in 4. Is that true? I would buy 7 for that and for it being more stable with titles.

They added a new feature that is kind of an auto chromakey, Steve tried it and had great results.
I don't think the effect itself is any different however. Remember Ron, you need a good solid color background for the chromakey to work well.

All four of my educational videos have chromakey in them. The last one all three characters are keyed. I've gotten good at it, but it's still a pain to get a close, clean key in a garage with shop lights. The only keyer that worked very well was Studio version 9.3.5. Adobe elements was a close second. If PE 7 does even a slightly better job than PE 4 that would be enough for me to spend 75 bucks at amazon to get it.

Now, keying in high def is great. The only problem with that is that it takes days to render.
