Custom Presets Lost

Postby momoffduty » Thu Nov 20, 2008 12:09 pm

After transferring the data to the new computer my Custom Presets are missing from Pro & PE3. What is the file path when you save a preset? Made a test preset and tried to track it down and couldn't find it.

Thanks John, still no luck. Lesson learned: export presets to a folder as they are created.

Hi Cheryl,
I think to actually use the presets in another program (reinstall or upgrade) you need to export them first.
Did you export all of your presets after you created them?
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

A few of the presets that were made in PE3 were exported to a folder to use in Pro. All of the other presets that were created in PE3 & Pro are gone. Have a few old projects and going back to the properties and recreating. Some have other keyframes that I don't want, so copy/pasting to a separate pic and saving that way. Some of the presets were a group of 3 that are applied in a certain order and had them in group bins in the effect panel. Lots of work, but they will be exported to a folder from now on. Others will have to be created as needed.
