Proper Sequence Setting

Postby VernonRobinson » Sat Dec 29, 2018 7:17 am

I have two video cameras in the Project I am creating.

Camera 1 (Canon HV30): 1440 x 1080, Frame Rate 29.97, Audio 48000 Hz, Pixel Aspect Ratio 1.33

Camera 2 (Panasonic ??): 1920 x 1080, Frame Rate 29.97, Audio 48000 Hz, Pixel Aspect Ratio 1.0 AVCHD H.264 4:2:0

Current Sequence Setting (Matching HV30): HDV 1080i, 1440 x 1080 PAR 1.333 Frame Rate 29.97, Audio 48000 Hz

The sequence matches the HV30. But my question is the following. Is there any advantage to transcode the Panasonic Camera output to match the HV30? It seems that Premiere is handling it ok in my initial trial.

Thanks,
-Vernon

If it works as is, I wouldn't bother converting it.

I agree. If it works I would not touch anything.
