Video clip Time stamps

Postby mikecox » Mon Apr 16, 2018 2:39 pm

I realize this is not really a Pr issue but has more to do with how video clips are time-stamped in DSLR cameras, but I'm guessing it would be a familiar issue with anyone here who is shooting video.

Can someone explain why there is only a 3-minute difference in the time-stamp on my first clip and the time-stamp on the 58th clip I shot over 2 hours later?

The first shot was taken at 6:mm. The file was recorded with the correct date but at 4:28. The last shot was taken at 9:mm but the shot timestamp shows 4:31, 3 minutes from he first one.

The Time and Date settings are both correct on my camera.

if you check the file properties for each clip do you see the same time difference? (Windows right click file select properties, select details tab)
